“What’s our thing?”
Find out, in 5 minutes through Mont Blanc Radio‘s mic, what Origyne·s’ “thing” is.
Interview recorded in Radio Mont Blanc’s studios on February 9th, 2021.
‘Good evening Flore & Jenn, so tell us : what’s your “thing”? ‘
Our “thing” is Origyne·s, our alternative and meaningful event agency that we created 2 years ago to organize corporate events and business meetings at the foot of Mont Blanc.
‘How is your agency alternative and meaningful?’
Alternative because we change the mechanisms of classic events to give them new meaning. We are respectively based in Megève and Chamonix, and our strength lies in our unrivaled “on the ground” knowledge. We are close to our customers by being the only point of contact and close to our suppliers with whom we have been working for more than 15 years. This allows us to offer bespoke solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
Meaningful because the event industry rather has bad press in terms of carbon footprint so we support our clients in the organization of eco-friendly events. We provide them with simple and concrete tools such as carbon offsetting, beehives’ sponsorship, favoring local and regional products for the catering side of the event and drastically reducing the amount of waste produced to aim for a “zero waste” event. We also like to focus on the “human aspect” of the event as we believe that goodwill is the key for the audience to be receptive to the message. This is why we offer yoga or meditation sessions before the actual work sessions as well as non-violent communication workshops. We strive to impact positively on both the natural and human environments.
‘In these pandemic times, what can you offer?’
We had to rethink our packages in order to follow the sanitary measures and respect the limit of 6 people gathering maximum.
Currently, we are suggesting to our partners and clients to take advantage of this down down time to bond and (re)create cohesion between the members of their team. Our package includes a morning introduction to non-violent communication (NVC) with a certified speaker during which the attendees will discuss and discover the main principles of this method (during stressful and busy times, work colleagues may not always speak kindly and gently to each other). The morning sessions is followed by a finger food break outside next to the pire pit and an outdoor activity during which the NVC speaker observes the implementation of the communication techniques taught the same morning to then debrief afterwards (this teambuilding activity can be a snow challenge, an igloo construction, biathlon, etc.). Then (depending on the curfew) why not end the day with a snowshoe hike with a friendly aperitif (always in the respect of the sanitary measures) in an igloo for a magical moment?
We also organise yoga retreats, the next one will take place in May near Annecy in a former convent run by Indian nuns.
‘And you are members of 1% for the Planet?’
It was important for us to commit to the environmental cause as well as our clients and partners. We therefore became members of the global movement 1% for the planet which means we donate 1% of our annual turnover to associations or NGOs that work to protect the environment and to improve the living conditions of populations directly impacted by global warming.
‘How can we get in touch with you?’
